Species/habitat
Fish listed in Anne II and IV in the Odra River
Location
opolskie Voivodship,on the river Odra, S from Chruścice
Details of the case
Rebuilding of the weir in Chruścice by the Silesian Regional Water Management Authority is planned. The proposal for the conversion of the fish pass has been assessed (by dr Marek Jelonek, specialist in fish passages in Kraków Regional Water Management Authority as inadequate for the fish migration requirements. Implementation of the proposed solution threatens the populations of migrating, especially anadromous fish species and cause that the Odra ecological corridor would loose its continuity.
