Destruction of the habitat 91F0 in the valley of Bystrzyca River near Ratyń (City of Wrocław)

91F0 Riparian mixed forests of Quercus robur, Ulmus laevis and Ulmus minor, Fraxinus excelsior or Fraxinus angustifolia, along the great rivers (Ulmenion minoris), populations of the Common snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis) and Ramsons (Allium ursinum)
Location
dolnośląskie Voivodship, Borough of Wrocław, in the proposed Natura 2000 site „Łęgi nad Bystrzycą”, area manager by the Forestry Unit: Nadleśnictwo Miękinia.
Damage dimension/extent:
Several hundred specimens of Galanthus nivalis and Allium ursinum on the area of 1,5 hectare has been destroyed - below 1% of the regional (Voivodship) populations.
Legal aspect
The actions performed were planned in the Forest Management Plan for 2002-2011 for the Miękinia Forestry Unit (Nadleśnictwo). Plans were consulted at the Technical Commisions and approved by the Ministry of Environment. Further consultations at the implementation stage were not required.
Details of the damage
The implementation of the Forest Management Plan for the 2002-2011 for Nadleśnictwo Miękinia caused the wipe-out of the 1,5 ha of the habitats: 91F0 Riparian mixed forests of Quercus robur, Ulmus laevis and Ulmus minor, Fraxinus excelsior or Fraxinus angustifolia, along the great rivers (Ulmenion minoris) and 9170 Galio-Carpinetum oak-hornbeam forests. These area was also habitat of the two species protected by the Regulation of Minister of Environment of 9 July 2004.
